Any ideas on the location for the next reunion? Vera is getting better slowly but surely and could possibly attend if it is not too far away. Please advise. Thanx. Chuck

I joined the 458th in Camp Leroy Johnson on 24 Dec 1963 one month after JFK was assassinated, went to Fort Eustis for LARC V school and joined the advance party in Fort Story. I think Capt Landry gave the 458 the nickname "Tigers". I wonder if anybody from the 1963 -1965 era is active in your group.

Bringing back memories from back then. Hope to find some old buddies. I was at Ft. Story in Jan 56 until June or July 56. I was later sent to New Orleans at Camp Leroy Johnson on hurricane patrol.

We had a few spam bots get through the Guest Book, so I've added a security string here. It should be fairly easy to see and reenter.

Does anyone remember CPT Wallace "Norm" Brucker. I thought he was in charge of the 458th PBR detachment in Qui Nhon when they were attached to the 127th MP Company/93rd MP Bn?

Just trying to update my e-mail address. I was a 1LT in Qui Nhon with the 127th MP Company and 93rd MP Bn, when the 458th was attached to us for patrol of Qui Nhon harbor and the estuaries running into the harbor. Used to do checks of the PBRs as duty officer fr the 93rd/127th and go out on concussion grenade runs. As S-2 did vaious Intelligence Spot Reports like the one on the sinking of the USS Hawk. CPT Wallace "Norm" Brucker was in command of the PBR detachment at that time.
