Much of our unit history has been pieced together over the years from numerous sources, today it still isn't complete but it's a hellva lot more so than when I asked the transportation Museum about the 458th in 1995.
At that time there was a NCO in charge of the museum and they did have some valuable information including the name and email address of a Navy PBR who had run into a guy who clamed to have been in a Army unit in Vietnam that had PBRs.  Through this navy contact I found Mike Russell and the rest is history.
